What is the "shopping cart"?

The shopping cart is like an order form, for example the order forms used in mail order catalogues. This is where all the articles you have chosen are collected. When you see an article you are interested in, you can place it in the shopping cart by clicking on the button “Add to shopping cart”. Simply putting an article in the shopping cart does not mean that you have ordered it – you can of course take it out of the shopping cart again. With this shopping cart you can “go to checkout” and then finally place your order. You will find the “shopping cart” in the top right corner on every page of the M. Müller & Sohn Shops.

How can I make changes in my "shopping cart"?

You can place all the articles you would like to order from our shop in your virtual shopping trolley by clicking the button “Add to shopping cart”.
The “shopping cart” is displayed in the right-hand column on all the pages of our online shop. Click on the link “to shopping cart” to reach the actual shopping cart. Here you can change the number of your chosen products that you want to order, or you can delete products from the shopping cart. To change the number of articles simply alter the figure in the little box (“Quantity”) and then click on the arrow in the circle (= update). The new total price is then calculated at once. To delete an article from your shopping cart simply click on the little red cross (x) next to the article you want to remove. You can add new products to your “shopping cart” by going back to the product selection again.

How can I place articles in the "shopping cart"?

You can place any article you would like to order in your own virtual shopping trolley by clicking on the little shopping trolley. You can change your selection again later, or add or remove other articles too.

Do you accept international orders too?

All the products in our shop can currently be delivered worldwide. Please observe the different forwarding charges. Deliveries to countries outside Germany are only made after payment has been received (please wait for invoice). Remember to watch out for the language of our products. All books and magazines are in German. Some of our books and magazines have been translated into English, Danish or Dutch. The respective language is always stated in the product description.


How safe is my order on the internet?

For your security we have given our Shop a 56-bit SSL (secure socket layer) code. You can recognise this by the lock in the status bar of your browser. For more information click on the lock with your right mouse button.

How safe are my data with you?

Your data are placed in a database specially created for this purpose on our server. The server is protected against unauthorised access.

How can I send you an order?

You can place all the articles you would like to order in your virtual shopping trolley by clicking on the button “Add to shopping cart” in the close-up view of each product. When you have decided what you want to order simply click in the “shopping cart” (top right) on “go to checkout” and the order form will pop up on your screen. To make your purchase, confirm your order on this form by clicking “Order now”.

Will you confirm my order?

We acknowledge receipt of every order you send to our Online-Shop by email, so please always check before sending off your order form that you have entered your email address correctly.

What kinds of payment can I choose from?

Depending on the value of the goods you can choose between

- Quotation bill (for payment in advance)
- Cash on delivery (higher charge)
- Credit card
- Direct debit (only for Germany)

How do I look for an article?

You can search for an article in the following ways:

“Search”
Enter your search word here. It might be a key word, or perhaps an order number. The “Search” box is always on the right-hand side of the screen.

Select from the list of headings and categories
On the left side of the screen we have divided up our range of products into categories and sub-categories for you. Some articles might be included in a number of different categories.

Send my order to a different address.

If you want us to send your order to an address that is not the same as the invoice address, you can enter the two addresses separately. You can make changes to the address up to the time the order is dispatched.

I should like to give a subscription as a gift.

If you would like to give someone a subscription, book or article as a gift, simply complete the delivery address (recipient of gift) and the invoice address (person ordering).

If you would like to give someone a subscription, book or article as a gift, simply complete the delivery address (recipient of gift) and the invoice address (person ordering). At the end of the order process you can still change your delivery and invoice addresses.

Can I have an article gift-wrapped?

We regret that we do not offer this service.

An article didn’t arrive. What should I do?

An article was damaged. What should I do?

Do I get a discount if I order several books / articles?

We do not grant any discount (price maintenance).

However, if your order is worth Euro 100 or more we do not bill any dispatch costs for deliveries in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (does not apply for subscriptions).

Do I get a discount if I am a student?

Students and those still at school can order subscriptions at special rates. See subscription details for prices.

There is no discount for books and articles.

Are there any discounts for schools or subject teachers?

There is no discount for schools or subject teachers (price maintenance).

How high are the postage charges for subscriptions?


Normal postage charges are included in the subscription price. Any other types of dispatch, for example airmail, are billed extra.

However, if you only order single issues then postage charges are billed (see Dispatch costs).

How high are the dispatch costs for books, articles and single issues?

The dispatch costs for books, articles and single issues are billed at a flat rate as follows:

- Germany – Euro 5.50
- Austria – Euro 5.50
- Switzerland – Euro 5.50
- Rest of Europe – Euro 9.50
- Rest of world – Euro 18.00

- Surcharge for cash on delivery (only possible in Germany) - Euro 2,00 plus flat rate dispatch costs

- If your order is worth Euro 100 or more we do not bill any dispatch costs for deliveries in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (does not apply for subscriptions).

These flat rate dispatch costs are for deliveries by normal post. Any other types of dispatch only on request, for example airmail, courier, express delivery...
